Does it still make sense buying 1-2 years old versus buying new? Is there that much savings now a days with the demand of used Toyotas?

Look at 2021’s too, they’re the exact same as the 2022-2024, you can definitely find a loaded 21 XSE for a decent amount. 1-2 year old cars, especially Toyotas really aren’t that much cheaper than new.

Toyota’s have such high resale value and little depreciation after 1-2 years that you might as well buy new.

You are questioning your own morals or choices ? Why even bother buying a used car with what , like 10k-25k miles for the price of a new one ? Old ones is out of warranty after a year , doesn’t offer any free services or even save you 4k$-5k$ than new ones . I suggest looking far away and you could new one with the same price or slightly more expensive but it will be worth in the long run .

I’m in Toronto, CA and the used market is way overpriced. A used 1 or 2 year old Rav4 is listed for sale at the same price or more sometimes compared to buying new.
