Just had tires replaced 4000-5000 miles ago and popped one on a sidewall, not repairable.
Replacing one tire going to be a problem? The guy said I should “shave it down” it that even necessary when the other three tires only have at MOST 5k miles on them?

Most AWD systems have tolerances. It’s usually pretty small like no more than 1/4" difference in circumference.
If they’re different more than 2/32" then have the new tire shaved.
