This is something I’ve noticed and it’s been interesting to think about. I recently bought a 981 Porsche Cayman S. Not a crazy car by any means but looks pretty sporty. Kids under the age of 5 always stop and stare, point at my car, badger their parents about it. What is it about sports cars that kids really like? Is it biological or something? Is it just because the large majority of toddlers consume sports car content somehow and they think they’re cool?

Toddlers know which people are attractive also and often just stare at them. They’ll be enamored with spectacles in nature too. I guess sports cars have a certain design language that taps into some of our biological senses that are ingrained in us. Adults are enamored by them too.

I guess this falls back to the argument of whether attraction is innate or some kind of social construct.

It looks significantly different from an average car. The shape reminds them toy cars.
