Would there be any noticeable changes in ring performance if the gap orientation is flip flopped from what the manufacturer recommends? My ring Gaps are properly aligned relative to each other, however I aligned the gaps opposite to the direction of the piston (top ring gap is supposed to face exhaust side, but it is facing intake vice versa) Realized my mistake after torquing head bolts… (2009 CRF450x)

Don’t worry about it. The rings will spin on the piston anyway
