Can someone tell me why my oil level isn’t showing? I have a 2012 A4 and unfortunately have bad piston rings so i have to fill my oil more than usual (replacing engine soon). I put half a quart in my car tuesday morning and wanted to check my oil today(thursday). this is shown. it’s never said this before and i didnt get a low oil light. i tried again a couple hours later and it still shows this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The good thing is if you take it to an Audi dealer it should only be about 8000 dollars to fix.
These Euro cars can be so picky sometimes, Make sure the following are true: Parked on level surface/all doors and hood closed/engine warm
People are suggesting all kinds of random shit, but it’s pretty likely the sensor is showing exactly what it’s seeing. Id add another Quart and see what happens. Just don’t go overboard if it continues to not show.

Better check it the old fashioned way. Pull that dip stick out and make sure there’s oil in there .
