I have. 2008 Toyota Rav4 4WD. It has a bad pinion seal in the rear differential. On other vehicles I have rotated the driveshaft to help line it up with the differential so I dont have to make anything. How should I safely lift both the rear end ans front end at the same time? At first I was considering using ramps and jackstands, until I saw that a small nudge can make it your last repair. 4 jackatands can end the same way from what I have heard. In short, is there a safe way to lift both front and rear wheels off the ground?

I don’t think you would need to jack up front and rear.

That being said, jack stands on the pinch weld behind front tire, and in front of rear is best/safest option. Obviously quality jack stands are important, and lifting in a safe area is important too.
