They are so different cars. One is a muscle car - and the other is a Kriegsmarine destroyer. I don’t get how one can compare them… apples to sheep.

This comparison makes no sense. They’re very different kinds of cars trying to do different things.

The M5 comp is a bargain compared to its rivals and I prefer it to the worse M8 comp. (No doubt M8 looks better)

M8 is more muscle car feel, 911 is more sporty and agile. Both are lovely cars. I’d want one of each, prolly the M8 GC version and whatever 911 I can afford.

The performance figures compared to the 911 Turbo are laughable.

It’s a good looking car, but aside from opinionated preferences, it’s not a better car than the Porsche.

Obviously not going to be an unpopular opinion on a subreddit for BMW owners champ. Go post this on r/porsche

    Porsche Panamera - £75k Jaguar F-Type - £60k Mercedes-Benz SL - £105k BMW M5 - £108k Mercedes-Benz CLS - £75k Tesla Model S - £95k Lexus LC - £95k

    8BMW M8 - £135k*

Of it’s closest rivals, it’s the most expensive by far. You might personally think it’s better than them, but it is in absolutely no way what-so-ever a bargain.
