Hello everyone, I have a third gen 4runner and I was going to do some brake work on it but I am unsure about the bleeding process. I am going to replace the abs pump, the front rotors/calipers/pads, and the soft line connecting the front brakes to the hard line. If i wasn’t doing the abs pump, I would only bleed the front brakes, but since I am doing the pump, do I need to bleed the rear drums as well? Thanks in advance.
Yes, you need to bleed the whole system when you replace the ABS unit as you are opening every fluid path including the lines to the rear brakes.
