I live in Norway and EVs here there are plenty of. I’m trying to research which EV I should buy when the time comes, but my main concern is range. We usually take a roadtrip from my hometown to Oslo a few times a year, which is about 500km one way. We’ve only taken this trip by ICE cars so far and we only usually fill up at the same place as always, which is about 200km away from our hometown. We don’t usually need to fill up there, but it’s nice place to relax before continuing the trip again.
Now for EVs. Teslas for me are out of the order. Don’t ask why, just no. What are the other cars that are the king of ranges? I really love the look of the Polestar 2, but I don’t know anything about it’s range.
Any other EVs in the marked that are range kings? Any obvious ones? Any that have surprised you in the range department?
500km is no big deal for most modern EVs. You don’t need a “range king” for this trip unless you are determined to do it without stopping at all, but it sounds like you are accustomed to a single stop already.
A single 20 minute recharge at a decently fast charger somewhere in the middle of your trip would be sufficient, and given your country has plenty of charging infrastructure I’m guessing you have plenty of choices to charge.
