Question for anyone familiar with Honda ignitions. Is drilling necessary to remove the ignition cylinder or can it be removed once turned into accessory position? I’ve seen a few videos but it seems like drilling is only needed if it won’t turn? Thanks (2002 CRV)

I haven’t seen one Honda where can’t. These are pretty easy to remove. And that’s a good thing as it’s a pretty common failure. No need to remove the whole steering lock part. Just get roll pins out and the lock cylinder comes out. Luckily these have immobilizers so it’s not possible to steal them like that.
