My wife is wanting a Rav4, i just wanted to check and see what everyone thinks about them? Best years/trims? Hybrid vs non hybrid? THANKS!

Currently, there is a 2010 (son’s) and a 2013 (wife’s) in my household. Both AWD. 2010 has a 3.5 liter V6 and runs like a scalded cat. 2013 is a 2.5 liter 4 banger and is underpowered for highway speeds over 120 kph. I find the ride quality to be harsh. Neither is a smooth ride. It’s a common complaint from RAV4 owners. The build quality is excellent, and both have been very reliable in the 4 years they’ve been in our driveway. Just a choppy garbage ride. But my son and wife like them, so we keep them.
My neighbour drove a newer model with lane assist. He hated it and said he felt like he was fighting the steering wheel the whole time.
If I have a say, we won’t buy another. I’ll pay extra for a Highlander or 4Runner.
It’s a Camry with a lift kit. It offers virtually nothing the Camry doesn’t other than 2" of ground clearance for an extra $5,000.
