My car has felt terrible, vibrating on highway, feeling like it’s going to come apart after every bump. I took it to the tech and he said it was critical we replace the control arms (and the necessary alignment afterwards) quoted at $1,667 for parts and labor.
This is the local car mechanic that has been trustworthy in the past… but this seems super high to me…
Any advice? My car is a 60,000 mile 2017 subaru forester.
I really appreciate it.
Seems high IMO. OEM arms were maybe $300 each if I remember correctly, and they’re a fairly quick swap, not $1000 in labor kind of time.
Honestly ask a dealer, wouldn’t be surprised if you get quoted less.
