Recently purchased my first ever car! Just wanted some general advice on how to maintain the exterior, interior, engine, and all that stuff for a long time. Open to advice from experiences or any links for articles.

Look in your owners manual. There will be a maintenance schedule. Follow that religiously. It won’t prevent issues and breakdowns, but it will keep the car running as long as possible. As for the interior, read through the book, I’d be willing to bet there’s care instructions listed in there.
5000mi oil changes. I don’t care if the manual says 7500 or 10,000. Change it every 5k.
Do all the required maintenance as required in the owners manual. Don’t skip, don’t put it off.
3000 Miles oil change. And stick to the maintenance plan!
