I have to keep steering wheel to left to go straight. But the alignment is fine because when I park and put the wheel straight, both wheels also go straight. Why do I have to keep the wheel to the left only when I start driving? What may be wrong and how can I fix it?
It also seems like the car is fine the first 30 sec - 1 min, but then it just gets worse.
The car is a 2017 Volkswagen E-golf. Hit a curb pretty hard sideways on both front and real wheels.
I have replaced all the broken physical parts that made the wheels not go straight. Now they align with the wheel while the car is turned off/parked.
I have to hold the steering wheel about 45-60 degrees to the left for it to go straight.
Is this something I can fix myself, if so, how?
If this were to be fixed by a mechanic, how much should this repair cost?
Alignment.
Look for worn inner and or outter steering tie rods. That’s what it sounds like to me
