Bought a car battery charger and I was wondering if it would be alright to remove my truck’s battery and charge it.

Had to jumpstart my truck last weekend and I want to make sure the battery doesn’t die again when I need to start the truck.

Yes, you can charge it ans you dont have to remove it, charge it in place. However, you might want to test battery, if weak/old charging wont help much; How to test battery.

The worst it can do is sit there really. (Assuming you set the charger to either low amperage or auto)

Answering with a question: if it wasn’t safe, why would cars have a device that charges it when it’s not dead?

Go to a car parts store and have them check your battery. They do this for free.

Usually you never need to put your battery on a trickle charger if it is in good shape.
