I own a 1995 Suzuki Sidekick, and its AC is not functioning properly. When I press the AC button on the dashboard, the green indicator light turns on, but it fails to activate the compressor under the hood. However, when I directly connect the compressor to the battery, it blows cold air and operates correctly. Despite this, the AC switch does not activate the compressor, even though its light indicates that it is on. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for the AC or any other suggestions?

Check for voltage at the yellow wire at the high/low refrigerant pressure switch. If you have 12V we’ll need to move on with the diagnosis (either a relay or the AC amplifier) if you have 0V you have a refrigerant pressure issue, likely a leak.
