Nooby question here but what is the process like for buying new tires? As someone who knows nothing about cars the process seems daunting.

Do you go to a mechanic and order tires there? Do you go to one of those tire warehouses? Do you need to call in advance and ask if they even have tires for your car? What do you even look for in winter tires?

If anyone can help it would be super appreciated (even though I should have probably asked this like 1-2 months ago lol. The anxiety of it all made me push it off and well snow is here now.)

You can order them online and shipped to your house too. Tirerack is very reputable and has a good selection. If you get rims with the tires, they come balanced as well. Go to any mechanic or tire shop to install and it shouldn’t cost you more than 30-40$

If you want to know my top winter tire brands: Michelin X-ice and Bridgestone Blizzaks. Do a bit of research on your own, but these are my top personal picks. Not an economical choice by any means, but I don’t cheap out on things that seperate me from the ground. Nothing beats the feeling of safety having the best tires.
