I think the parking brake on my wife’s 2018 CX-5 got applied accidentally. Can this happen while the vehicle is off? Now the orange light on the switch is flashing, the electric parking brake warning light on the dash is on, and the brake system warning light on the dash is flashing.
I tried pressing the brake down and lifting the parking brake switch but that doesn’t change anything.
Any ideas before I take this into the shop? Thanks in advance
Thanks for the advice. I didn’t even bother testing the battery knowing it was over 5 years old and never replaced. Put a new one in and everything seems to be working fine…for now. Fingers crossed.
