I just had my last track day event of the year and the turnout was amazing. Seeing people use their cars for what they were built for always puts a smile on my face. I was able to chat with some of the drivers there throughout the day. A large amount of them said that in their car groups the amount of people tracking their cars is a tiny percentage of the community. I don’t think there is anything wrong with not tracking your car, I’m more so just curious as to what is stopping you from doing it?

For clarification, I know not all cars do well on a track and a lot of modification to make them trackable is required. I’m more so talking about track equipped cars from the factory.

Tracking even cheap cars you own is crazy expensive, and ultra high-risk. There’s something very sobering about driving at 160km/h straight at a corner knowing you’re totally uninsured, and it’s 200km to get home in what you’re hoping is going to make the corner.
