I plan purchasing a 2010-2012 Rav4, preferably with the v6, with plans to take it on a road trip spanning roughly 10,000 miles. There might be some days of 16 hours of driving and than five days of no driving, some dirt roads, and a ton of stuff in the car.
My immediate thought was “it’s a Toyota it can handle it” but I’m not sure how true that actually is? There isn’t a ton of information out there about reliable in that regard where it’s a years worth of driving in only a few months.
I’m meticulous about maintenance and I would make sure it’s bumper to bumper ready to go, and preemptively replace anything that could possibly go, I just don’t know if I’m being too optimistic.
Watch Car Care Nut in you tube. Avoid Scott Kilmer the master of clickbait.
Ever Scotty vid: “my ‘94 Corolla is great! I only change the oil and put gas in it!” That’s as far as his technological insight into Toyotas go.
It’s actually a celica but I know what you mean
Omg I’m embarrassed. Edited/corrected. Thank you.
