I feel like the red should be inbetween the E46 and E90, I rarley see an E36 that looks like it’s driven every day nowadays
May be true, but I know my E46 M3 gets a lot of attention everywhere I go. My kids (9 and 10) are already jockeying for who will inherit it!
lmfao
Somewhat accurate although I still get the occasional comment about my E36 that’s in pretty rough shape (perma-project car)
Kinda works out if you’re able to find a reliable one with less mileage especially if they’re in the red zone there, they will not be costly to buy as well.
Don’t you talk about my E46 that way 😢😢😢
Hang in there , sooner rather than later it’ll emerge out of the awkward zone and emerge as the modern classic it is
You need to shift the red spot to the right. An E46 is a 20 year old car at this point and knocking on the door of “classic” status. It’s the 10-20 year old cars nobody wants, cars that don’t look new but are a dime a dozen on the road.
I have an 09 128i and hope to keep it until it becomes a classic.
A bit biased on my side but I think red should be more to the e90 side cause e36s are pretty rare and I don’t see e46 every day. I see e90s and e91s every time I drive to work tbh.
i wish i saw more e91 wagons
It’s complete BS. I was getting compliments on my visually stock e46 ZHP right up to the day I sold it in 2022.
E46 sedan or not is a classic.
Last truly analog BMW is a definition of classic.
Classic does not have to be “old”
I’d say this is accurate as someone who dailies a 01 330i. I rarely see e36’s on the road anymore being in the northeast. Most e46’s I see are clapped out 325xi’s and even then I don’t see a ton of e46’s out and about, you’ll just come across one every so often. F30’s are a few years into that “cheap high schooler ride with plastidip” phase though, I see plenty of 320-328’s around that look like they’re on a third or fourth owner.
Most e46’s for sale I find are either really beat, or they’re low owner well kept and the asking price reflects that.
Sounds about right.
Side (off-topic) comment: Interestingly everything after the E21 is white or silver
E90 may be somewhat dated but the design was ahead of it’s time and still holds up pretty well imo. Still my favorite modern chassis
Oh yes! It will be a classic that is sought after someday.
Agree broadly for the entire range, but I guess specific models would be more valued than others - eg. E46 330Ci v F30 316i
