No cruise control

Hi y’all, I have a 2008 Chevy Colorado. I was towing a trailer yesterday when I noticed the cruise control wasn’t working. After I was done towing the trailer cruise control still wasn’t working. I haven’t checked anything yet but was wondering of some possible solutions, or why it even happened.

Usually a speed sensor. Also verify your brake lights aren’t always on.
