Can you please tell me what are the top brands for led headlight bulbs?
I am buying off Amazon.

There isn’t a single retrofit headlight that’s legal to install in a halogen headlight. There’s a reason for that; it optically impossible for a retrofit LED bulb to produce the proper beam pattern when it’s placed in a headlight designed for halogen bulbs. LED retrofits throw less light on the road and cast more glare into oncoming traffic. If you want LED, the only way to do it is to buy new headlight assemblies that are specifically designed for LED bubls.

While I agree that it may not be legal, there are LED bulbs out there that produce a nearly identical beam pattern to halogen and perform much better than halogen without glare. Plenty of videos out there to show this.

What you say used to be true, but not any longer.

Naw, they may look the same to the casual observer. But when compared to actual beam patterns produced by halogen bulbs in those headlights, they don’t match the brightness centers and they produce too much glare. In lab tests, they still fail, which, again, is why they can’t claim they’re street legal. They can’t possibly produce the same beam pattern, because the light source itself is a different shape and doesn’t broadcast light in 360°.
