Got to hand it to Sony for not falling for the create your own streaming app trap. Everyone else tried to battle Netflix and they are all losing even Disney. I think there will be at least 3 dead apps by the end of next year. MGM+ being an obvious one. I can see Disney+/Hulu, Max, Netflix, and maybe one other one coming out of this alive.
I think Apple TV+ will also survive, simple because Apple’s business model permits loss leader services like that (or Apple Music is or Apple Fitness). The whole thing is basically one big elaborate iPhone ad.
