Bought a van that wasn’t running. The previous owner replaced the fuel pump but cut out a hole in the floor to reach the top of tank. I got it running fine now but want to do a camper conversion. What are some good ways to repair the cutout?
Bought a van that wasn’t running. The previous owner replaced the fuel pump but cut out a hole in the floor to reach the top of tank. I got it running fine now but want to do a camper conversion. What are some good ways to repair the cutout?
I’d just lay down some fiberglass on chicken wire followed by a bit of steel cut to slightly larger then original and then one more layer of fiberglass. Then paint with bed liner. Airtight and decent mechanicals considering the hackery.
Or….
turn the space into a hidden floor safe…
