So I previously had AAA roadside support with my ICE vehicle and used it once. But I don’t know how useful AAA would be for my new electric car? I have 5 years of roadside assistance through Hyundai.

What do you think?

I ran out of juice in rush hour, my bad, and Kia Roadside Assistance was going to take four hours to get a tow truck to me for free. The cop on scene calls for a flatbed tow, they showed up in 20 minutes!

$100 to tow about 3 KMs to my house where my L2 charger was my “penalty” without AAA.

So mfgr free tows in town are not necessarily convenient; out of town travel MAY hold benefits depending on the tow distances.

My Niro is now four years old, I’ve replaced the 12V Accessory battery a couple months ago but I’m considering rejoining the Auto Club myself…after all an EV is a car!
