Big trucks and SUVs, especially those with flat front ends, aren’t just more intimidating to look at, they are genuinely deadlier for pedestrians, according to new research from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The Mini is obviously much smaller but it also has a pretty noticeably sloped hood that is not, in fact, pretty much straight out from the windshield to the grill like a Silverado, F150, Acadia, etc
It just has to be tall enough in the front to hit about your waist area. The mini is low enough to not have that problem and thus much less likely to kill a pedestrian.
This is also an accurate description of the regular 3-Door Mini Cooper Hardtop.
