Im getting a new set of steel rims with winter tires put on a Camry. Is it necessary to have TPMS installed or can I go without to save money?

If I do get TPMS installed, when it comes time to switching over my tires in the spring, would I have to do anything special - like reprogram? Or can I just switch them out and put all seasons on with no additional work?

First time dealing with TPMS so thank you in advance for the help!

So you’d be okay running without sensors, you’d just have to manually check them ever so often and you would have the TPMS light on. If you decide on having sensors you will have to get them reprogrammed every time you switch over
