People who own legs, or heads, generally can’t fit back there. Unless they are very small children.

I daily my 911. My 7 year old can sit back there for a couple hours and be fine. My wife 100 lbs 5’3 can sit back there with a 5’9 friend squished in the front and not complain.

They’re storage for the cash you’ll save on insuring a 4 seat car vs a 2 seat car.
My 6yo and 11yo fit perfectly…so much so, I’m fact, that I seem to rarely drive my Macan daily driver because they’d rather be in the 911.

I did, from Mid-Eastern PA (about an hour north of Philly) to Key West in Florida as a kid in the back of my father’s 2002 Lapis Blue 996.2 911 Carrera (full name because I like to be specific, not trying to flex with a base Carrera, even if that’s actually the model I most prefer in the 996 lineup 😅)… All I remember is that it was long and we only did it once 😂😂😂
The official marketing campaign of the 911 back in the days said that the rear seats are for kids up to 160cm or for big Porsche enthusiasts.
