The exiled Uyghur government calls China’s invasion in 1949 ‘a brutal act of aggression’ that has led to decades of ‘colonization, genocide, and occupation,’ urging the international community to recognize East Turkistan as an Occupied Country like Tibet.

    Please vet your sources better. The “east Turkestan government in exile” is funded by Turkey and rightwing american “thinktanks” for the sole purpose of anticommunism. Its no coincidence that the only news outlet publishing their “press releases” is Breitbart.

    Salih Hudayar was elected as the Prime Minister of the East Turkistan Government-in-Exile on November 11, 2019.

    Mr. Salih Hudayar was born to a Uyghur business family in Atush, East Turkistan. He studied International Studies and Politics at the University of Oklahoma, and was a member of the Army National Guard from 2011-2013. He is currently pursuing a Masters in National Security Studies from the American Military University.
