I really need to start organising things and a calendar on my PC where I could set up events would really help. No other fluff, quite literally just a program that shows me the current month and handles events, perhaps with like a notification function or something along these lines.
Given how simple this would be I’d code one myself, but I haven’t got the time to do so at the moment, so I just wanted to ask if anyone’s able to recommend something similar to that.
What’s stopping you from using the default calendar app of your operating system? It does all the things you mention, be it MacOS, Linux (Gnome, GTK etc) or Windows. What do you need that the default thing can’t do?
Good point, though I don’t remember Linux Mint’s XFCE calendar being able to set up events. I’ll make sure when I get back home
XFCE? so something really lightweight like Orage probably. Which is in fact part of XFCE…
Oh damn, I didn’t even realise how capable Orage was. Thanks a lot!
Proton calendar
My favourite calendar is the UBPorts offering, but I don’t think it’s available as a standalone app.
The GNOME calendar is okay though : https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Calendar
Seems solid, I’ll check it out, thanks!
I just use Google calendar. It’s on my phone and work computer, everywhere I need.
