    That was a painful watch

    Vini was terrible

I am also worried about the future of our midfield, Casemiro will probably not be starter level by the next WC

Diniz chose to leave Joelinton and Martinelli at home so shite like Gerson and Richarlison can play.

On top of that, Marquinhos is out of form, Casemiro is out of form, Neymar is out of form, and even Rodrygo is out of form.

With Richarlison, that 6 players of the starting 11 not playing well.

The only bit of good news was Yan Couto and Carlos Augusto made the squad, albeit because of injuries.

Brazil are so heavily reliant on Neymar still. Other stars like Vini and Rodrygo just have never performed like Neymar has for the national team. Vini in particular has been pretty terrible compared to what we know he can do.

Taking a step back and comparing to other cycles, there are always periods during which Brazil dominate possession but fail to break through against minnows.

With Tite the biggest differences were that this phase didn’t happen until later (instead, he started out on a big winning streak), and that the defense felt so secure.

Of course, that doesn’t make it any better. Tying at home is always a disappointment. It’s just not unprecedented.

I’m so fucking happy. Only the third game but that’s an amazing point to get. I was hoping we wouldn’t concede more than 3 before the game. We can do this 🇻🇪

Now this is the Venezuela that I actually wanted to see all this time. We didn’t back down after that first goal, everyone kept focus, we EQUALIZED, and made them sweat and lose their temper only by playing good fútbol. Mano, tengo fe. Extremely proud of my boys.

Rincón played so much better today, Alexander González has controlled every game, Soteldo was a joy to watch and Bello, well… wonderful.

Historic result for Venezuela drawing away to Brazil in Qualifying. They might actually qualify

    Brazil has a midfield problem
