I recently wanted to watch Harry Potter (you know, a pretty famous movie). I was surprised not to find a single torrent of the movie in Spanish in multiple websites, and once I finally did, the dub was in Spain Spanish (as opposed to latinamerican Spanish).

Anyways, I think there should be a better way to do this, any suggestions?

PS: Sorry if asked before.

Usually the best way to find language specific content is to join a private tracker that focuses on the given language. I don’t know if Spanish is like that too, but it’s worth checking out.

That’s what I was aiming for… Until I realised that most private trackers in my language are pretty high up the chain and I don’t have the time to bother with it.

It depends. My native language tracker forexample opens up for signups at Christmas time every year, making it easy to join. Outside of that I believe you can just make an application and depending on how good it is, you’ll be accepted.

But this is different from tracker to tracker, so I can’t say how it is exactly for your language. But what is pretty much standard for all private trackers is that you can get an invite if you know someone already there.

It heavily depends on the language. Scandinavian languages, for example, are too small to have DD or public trackers while something like German might not exist as public tracker due to the harsh copyright laws (can’t vouch for the last one).

It’s true but there are some nice German private trackers. And one I use and like wasn’t that hard to join. But as mentioned, because of the harsh copyright laws, most German content can be more easily found on Usenet or DDL sites

FMHY has a Spanish section with a list of direct download, torrent, and streaming sites. I don’t speak Spanish so I can’t attest to the quality of these sources, but I’ve found the French section to contain useful sites.

I use FMHY all the time, but I didn’t realize they had language sections. Thank you so much!

Thanks for this, I wasn’t aware of this section despite having FMHY bookmarked 😂

I guess it needs a bit of work because it is necessary to distinguish Latin American and Spain Spanish…

Download .mkv files which often contain multiple audio tracks. Or even better, just use subtitles (which should also be included in such files).

Yeah, or download the blueray files and convert them yourself with something like HandBrake. It takes a lot of effort but does do the job…

Have you tried getting your stuff from the Usenet?

Where the content is, depends on the uploader and if latin american countries mainly use the Usenet there could be more for you.

I found hundreds of full length movies in chinese on youtube, and used ytdl to download them all for the day they are inevitably removed. I just searched for some popular movies by chinese name and used the filter for long length. If you want the script I wrote to download whole playlists lmk

    Edit: found this

In the Oval Office on Thursday, Biden made clear that he was moving forward with wall construction grudgingly, in order to comply with funds appropriated by Congress in 2019. He said he had tried and failed to get Congress to redirect the funding it had allocated for wall construction in south Texas. “The money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to reappropriate, to redirect that money. They didn’t. They wouldn’t. In the meantime, there’s nothing under the law other than they have to use the money for what it was appropriated for. I can’t stop that,” he said.
