In order to bypass the GDPR, Meta apparently plans to move to a "Pay for your Rights" approach

Well… not that I /needed/ another reason to ditch them, but OK!

    Social media keeps finding new ways to make me dislike them…

    This seems like a failing on the part of the GDPR, unfortunately - “if necessary for an appropriate fee”

    But it does remind us that these corporations will do nothing good for its users that they’re not forced to.
