    Why though? Why Canada?

India has its hands full already with China, and there’s no ally to be found across their border with Pakistan either.

So what gives? Why go pick on Canada, just because a guy there wanted to entertain the thought of a sikh state free from India?

Because Canada had the balls to say “yo why the fuck you killing someone in Canada?”

      The absolute gall.

Possibly even a second guy, depending on what exactly happened to the guy in Winnipeg. Makes me wonder if just more and more of the separatist advocates are going to die in mysterious circumstances and India will keep boasting about it and threatening anyone who calls Modi out on it.

Because Modi solidifies domestic power by labeling any Sikh protestor as khalistanist (i.e. terrorist). Any whiff of separatism is a threat to his power. Canada just got in the way

Leftist here that despises Modi and Hindutva agenda. Sorry, we do not want Khalistan here, they better stay out of India (in UK, Canada and USA) if they think these Nihangs can commit terrorism and break off Punjab off of India.

Khalistanis are not a threat to Modi/BJP, but to India. BJP could literally vanish tomorrow and they are still our version of the Confederate USA stans.

India and China both understand that they aren’t each other’s greatest military rivals solely because the Himalayas make any large military action impossible. They also understand that they aren’t each other’s greatest economic rivals because their states of development complement each other.
