I have an agender sibling who ticks some of these boxes. Let’s just note that not all people uncomfortable with their assigned gender are trans.

Edit: I’m using trans here to refer to binary-to-binary transgender folk. After all, the post was about FtM transitions. I’m just pointing out that some enbies exhibit these traits too.

Agender enby here. I’m going to assume you mean ‘trans’ as in ‘identify as a strictly binary gender’. I was assigned female at birth, and I went through pretty much all three of these at various points in my life, but I mostly hung around the ‘Tomboy’ zone of presentation.

Gender is a performance, and I’m thoroughly annoyed that people only understand the show if I dress so much like a guy that I start feeling uncomfortable. I’d rather have a good audience than a good show.

Local culture and an accepting social circle did more for my dysphoria than a pair of pants ever did for me.

That is how I’m using the term here, more or less. You could call a lot of things trans, but I rather not bloat a term.

I appreciate you sharing! I’m boring (cis) myself, but I’m quite involved in the queer community, as a gay man.

I suppose you could use the term that way, but that’s not how I’m using it here. After all, the post was about FtM transitions. I’m just pointing out that some enbies exhibit these traits too.
