Hi everyone. I asked a question here before about my senior design project where I was planning on creating a RISC-V cpu.
I started the project and currently using iverilog, vpp and GTKWave (can also add yosys here but not for now) for development. And I plan on using Vivado for final implementation and IP’s.
Is this a good way of doing things? Should I just use Vivado? I feel like my approach is easier and lets me focus on the logic.

What features bind you to those particular chips?
DDR3 RAM and local availability.
We have 3 options here. Altera SoCs (I hate Quartus with a burning passion), Xilinx FPGAs/SoCs and small Lattice FPGAs and Tang Nano 9k.
Have you tried Efinix?
TI180J484C-DK and Efinix Xyloni. Only these two can be bought here. One is 1000+$ other is budget. ☹️
Where the heck are you that you don’t have access to Efinix products?
Turkey
Strange. The Xyloni is basically a toy to learn FPGAs, and the Titanium 180 is indeed a big fish FPGA. But there are loads of different chips and series in between.
They do have a sales representative in Turkey, though: http://www.kuantek.com.tr/en/ but as that page is Turkish, I’m lost from there…

Are you a student in Istanbul too?
