I’m concerned about that alphabet in the background. It doesn’t seem spell anything, as there is no spaces it appears just to be nonsense. Yet for some reason they’re holding it up as if it’s relevant to the image. I don’t get it.

This shit annoys me. Schools are quite literally the perfect place to explore ideology. Politics is completely opaque and confusing for kids because they aren’t being taught that different people have different ideas about how society should look based on their personal circumstances. This is why people are so easily influenced by fascists who market their programme as “straight-talking common sense”. Ideology is practically built-in to the human psyche and people should be conscious of when others are trying to influence them. Rant over.
Agreed, the lack of understanding for kids makes it even more troublesome down the line. Even if focus on politics was given to grown teenagers, it would have some impact - but alas, it isn’t even on the curriculum.
