I walk 30 minutes to my local library almost every other day. It feels like no time at all though.

1 hour of low-intensity cardio every day sounds very nice too.

sidewalks aren’t air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter

Yes, which is why car lanes should be abolished so you can put trees where the cars used to be. Free air conditioning through shade and plant perspiration. As for heating, wear a coat.

      • air conditioned & heated buses, trams, trains
      • run or bike harder if you’re cold
      • trees take off several degrees of the environmental temperature in the summer, on top of providing shade for cyclists and pedestrians

running /biking harder mostly causes you to sweat more when wearing snowpants unfortunately

Discussion about the path towards 15 minute cities. Post examples and discuss about how to make this a reality!

From Wikipedia: The 15-minute city is an urban planning concept in which most daily necessities and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure can be easily reached by a 15-minute walk, bike ride, or public transit ride from any point in the city. This approach aims to reduce car dependency, promote healthy and sustainable living, and improve wellbeing and quality of life for city dwellers.
