The survey shows a strong correlation between those who dislike AI and those who have negative emotions (exhausted, disillisioned, etc). It’s making many people’s mental health worse.
Outside of tech, AI is being used by doctors (including therapists) and often being fed patient data. Is this supposed to make mental health better? It doesn’t seem to be for most people, at least. But I’m sure the doctors claim it helps with their jobs.
There are also services and apps that claim to be for mental health that rely entirely on LLMs. These have been around for years now, actually. I remember one of them turning into a sexting roleplay app at some point though because the LLM would completely unprompted lean into sexual roleplay lol.

You could argue the survey isn’t good evidence if you want, but what you quoted was a conclusion made from the survey data.
Regardless, it’s pretty obvious that a polarizing topic would have a negative effect on many people’s mental health, and few things are more polarizing right now than AI.
Why would it make mental health better? I don’t think that was ever a goal.

Hardly surprising that people with negative emotions feel negative though is it?
Is there actually any good evidence of that?
Did you skip the first sentence or something?

Surely you’re old enough to know that correlation is not causation?
Do you have anything of value to add to the conversation? If not, I’m done.
Sure, I was pointing out your statistical mistake. That’s valuable. Bye!
