The strongest argument against any independence movement in UK or EU is just how badly Russia obviously wants it.
One imperial force trying to dismantle another imperial force doesn’t mean that that dismantling is bad.
I actually agree - but just because something is justified or desirable does not make it safe, either.
Don’t worry about it, the countries splitting off the UK will rejoin the EU. You know, since they’re leaving because the UK broke out of the EU.
I actually wonder how it would work out if the whole UK broke up and joined the EU separately. I don’t hate the idea.
If England unfucks itself and hangs Farage, it could happen. They’ll still be left with their Labour and Torries, but it would be some progress, more than France and Germany.
It seems like this new PM is singing a different tune than Starmer. It’s not exactly brave to say “Brexit hasn’t worked” in 2026, but at least he’s not sticking to Lab’s anti-rejoin manifesto from a couple years ago.
Russia wants to be left alone.
This is all you need to know about the West’s adversarial nature toward Russia.

Russia wants to be left alone.
Lol. Lmao even.

The RAND Corporation wrote a white paper leading up to the 2014 that basically translated to “How To Destroy Russian and Take All Their Shit”
Historically, whenever Europe went to war with Russia it always came from Europe. Today is no different.
All pipelines lead to Europe, as all pipeline wars come from Europeans. Wars like Ukraine and Syria’s will be known as the Pipeline Wars if there are still historians to talk about them.
The BBC trying to tarnish the legitimacy of the independence movements I see, by implying some untoward connection to Russia.
They’re either fools being played by Lavrov or, as is more likely the case considering their history, they’re actively trying to influence politics on behalf of Westminster and getting in the way of democracy.
Also, lol at Lavrov’s dig at the UK’s seat on the security council considering what happened with the USSR’s seat.
