    The hate for 2fa is so stupid. Hate the websites that need you to use their app to use their service, they didn’t have to do that and it only helps them collect data on you, but 2fa is an additional layer of security.

      I understand that 2fa is objectively important but I also kind of hate the idea that if I lose my phone I have fucked. Even if backup codes or a thing I’m still in a whole heap of trouble.

        That’s why I sync mine on Bitwarden, on a self-hosted instance of it, so even if I lose my phone I can still access my 2fa, though increased risks by putting all my eggs in one basket
