BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Thursday night Sullivan County Commission work session that was called to discuss the use of Flock cameras in Sullivan County turned heated after a county commissioner called for the public hanging of Flock Safety’s CEO, Garrett Langley.

What started as a civil discussion turned heated following those comments made by Commissioner Joe Carr.

“I believe that Flock right now is one of the most hated companies in America,” Carr stated during the meeting. “They are one of the most corrupt companies in America. And, quite frankly, sir, I don’t think we can make America great again without hanging your CEO publicly for treason.”

I am kind of stunned that he said the above bolded quote, in person, to the face of a Flock representative.

    I remember first hearing about the rumblings of privacy issues with Flock - but could someone summarize or point to a good summary as to the why?

    There are a metric shit-ton of companies spying on and tracking everyone and reselling that data, etc. Why is Flock in the crosshairs right now?
