That’s a carpenter bee! I have these same flowers and same bees in my yard. I love them! If it’s got a shiny butt, it’s a carpenter bee. Fuzzy butt is a bumble bee. Are you from the southeast US by chance?
Yes I am! Ok, thanks for the note that makes sense because I’ve seen bees that look like them making holes in decks haha. Ill edit my post.
Have you gotten any fruit yet? I have a few, but they aren’t ripe yet. I’m excited to spread the seeds.
Not that I’ve seen yet! But they only started blooming about 2 weeks ago so I’m still hopeful. They seem very healthy.
