the one we bought is on the bottom. the image didn’t come out the best but… we are also a little lazy/tired of current x3
That moment when for you, “20yo screen” means a big box you put carefully to not break the table you’re puting it on, not a thing you put carefully to not break it. :D … :-| … 🧓
hehe those are very fun too. in the metal shop we work in we have a comically large 36" CRT computer monitor—not television! it has a DE-15 plug and all—and our strategy of moving it around was just an engine hoist lol
Nice white and gold socks!
Not again…
wanna try buy cheap monitor, at put it on a wall to display furry animations 24/7
I didn’t know I wanted that.
(Well, probably not furry animations, but y’know).
Genuinely, thank you.
on this topic, a cool idea we just thought of is to take an LCD TV with a broken LCD panel (which we have), take out the panel assembly, remove the LCD glass, and install a printed piece of artwork (perhaps something over top to protect the artwork? or maybe not), from there hooking up the backlight to its own power supply and putting the thing up with some framing/trim or maybe just on its own. in fact we might actually start on that right now. yay distractions!!! x3
hey that sounds really neat!
maybe post it somewhere so we can all share in its glory?
sure!! so far:

not the best CRI ever and kinda high drive voltage, but still promising

probably gonna go grab some white LED strips. will provide some more updates in some time :)
Whoa this is so cool! I wish I could do stuff like this! You’re lowkey—no; highkey, so awesome for this <3
omg thank you!!! you are very wonderful and you can absolutely do cool stuff too, we believe in you :D
Those are some pretty gold and white socks.
Aah, the old 3:4 dell, what’s the resolution?
Best resolution IMO: stays hydrated when its warm
they are both 1280x1024! there is a seller here selling some similar 1600x1200 monitors but those are $15 each versus the roughly six dollars each of these were. these are still fairly nice though, glad to hear others think the same hehe
I have one of the DELL 1600x1200!
Clunky as hell, but still a solid screen. From 2009 or 2007 IIRC, tons of connectics and it swivels and all.
