WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal appeals court is allowing President Donald Trump to continue building a $400 million ballroom at the White House, ruling a day after a lower court judge continued to block above-ground construction on the site of the former East Wing.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit late Friday put on temporary hold the order by U.S. District Judge Richard Leon halting part of the project. The panel scheduled a hearing for June 5 to review the case.

In his ruling Thursday, Leon continued to block above-ground construction of the 90,000-square-foot (8,400-square-meter) ballroom addition while allowing only below-ground work to continue on a bunker and other “national security facilities” at the site.

Oh good, nice to see funds not going to wasteful things like healthcare or aid for those in need or education.

Americans have accepted that things like Health Care have to come out of the budget after EVERYTHING else is paid for.

We need to flip that, and make things like Health Care, Day Care, Free College/Trade Schools, etc. our top priorities, and they can build bombs with whatever is left. Actually, no they can’t, something else more important just came up…

Cool. I love how every time someone temporarily stops trump from doing something fucked up, someone else gives him a fast pass to resume. As someone said yesterday, why hasn’t anyone done it yet?

I struggle with the number of ways courts rule, then overrule, then suspend judgements. Thankfully the headlines usually explain what the current state of things are.

It’s a Stargate data center. A bunch of Oracle owned hardware running Grok. The Epstein ballroom is a literal coverup for pumping half a billion into Musk, Ellison and the AI bubble. Probably more money than that, this is just current estimated cost.

That’s okay, build it, and make it really expensive, because when we get through this, it’s going to be restored to its original design, and Trump is going to pay for every penny of the construction, destruction, and rebuild, out of his pocket. The money he collected in bribes to pay for it will also come out of his estate, and added to the budget that will fund healthcare, day care, free college, etc.

And not just him, all of those billionaire cabinet secretaries, all those Sociopathic Oligarchs who have been looting America, especially Musk. He needs to have his entire fortune full confiscated, and his companies nationalized. We paid for it all, after all.
