I don’t know if people really do dress with rainbows at Pride, or with these wacky ways of showing what they represent, but I keep seeing it in media everywhere. It makes me want to go there sometime, a place where the need to conform to a grey norm isn’t so potent.
They definitely do, and it is awesome! I would definitely recommend going to one if you can.
They do! It’s very colorful and fun. Pride feels like a cheery start to summer in participating cities :)
I’ve been to a few pride marches, and yeah it’s full of pride flags, people waving signs with clever slogans and loudly complaining about the government.
Would recommend going to one if you feel safe enough.
At the Pride festival in SF itself? Yes, very much. Also at Furry conventions.
There are also people who dress in leather bondage gear and look like Average Joe’s Gym when they got the wrong uniforms.
Heh, I’ve been to a furcon before, so I suppose in some ways it wouldn’t be a complete upturn to what I’ve seen lel. I often think about it though, just how much more fun the world would be if those who expressed themselves and their eccentricities were embraced, rather than pushed away.
Just found out Furaffinity doesn’t accept tor connections lol
It is pathetic to block Tor. Those who do either have some backwards idea of internet security or are in favor of state sponsored censorship and surveillance.
FA server settings might just be set super-paranoid due to recent uptick in DDOSs and AI scraping.
“Super-paranoid” as in “blocks basic encryption services like NordVPN and Cloudflare WARP because can’t tell diff between actual DDOS and many people using same IP cuz that’s kinda what a VPN is”
Understandable paranoia, I suppose, but not acceptable. And incredibly ironic for their serverside Cloudflare config to… block another basic Cloudflare service???
Fur affinity security can basically be summed up as a series of knee jerk reactions to endless harassment, death threats, and attacks over the course of two decades.
The site is basically the punching bag for every upset twat who thinks furries are the devil.
I agree, it isn’t acceptable. I feel like that’s part of the reason so many people dislike cloudflare, beyond them being a company who has a monopoly on communication. They kind of enable regressive practices like this.
Wait until you see that Deviantart blocks anything remotely associated with a VPN and does not offer any kind of CAPTCHA.
