One of the most notable findings is how much of the change is tied directly to permafrost thaw. The thaw season now lasts longer than in the past, extending into September and even October.

These changes are likely affecting salinity, nutrient cycles, and food webs in the Beaufort Sea. Researchers are now studying how ice wedge polygons, a common Arctic landscape feature, influence how water and carbon move toward coastal areas.

TL;DR if you remember a few years ago there were a set of triggers many scientists were saying could mark irreversible stages of climate change and would exponentially increase its acceleration, congrats, you’ve lived long enough to see one of them.

Hope you live above the 50th parallel or below the tropic of capricorn and in a fairly mountainous area.

Best I can do is a lump of coal in a plastic bottle thrown into an ocean current that may someday change to drift by your location.

I do, actually. Coincidentally, moved to get away from the ocean for a change of pace.

Yes i do, for climate change reason. S42o 270m ASL

Not to escape all impacts but to not be at the front of the queue.

Personally I think you need to be S35o at least, I was at S32o and moved even further south.
