Batteries basically, although I’m not opposed to a Bluetooth keyboard so I can free up a usb port. But nothing expensive.

If I have to use some usb dongle, then what’s the real benefit?

Anything with batteries should have an additional fix taxes or at the very least a significant deposit on batteries. There’s way too much disposable batterie powered stuff out there

I have a small desk that is multiuse. Its my computer desk, and my music products desk, and my mini painting desk, and my small repairs desk.

Having a wired keyboard is kind of a non starter for me because I am constantly moving it. I do wish there were more options for good wireless keyboards but totally understand how for the vast majority of the world a wired keyboard is superior in effectively every way.

Latency, signal dropouts. The keyboard is not a mouse. I don’t move it.
