    While I am inclined to agree with you, the Padres have a few big contracts ending for players that are doing quite well. Hader and Snell are two pitchers that come to mind, there is also Soto that is a FA at the end of this year.

    Realistically, I say from a long term management perspective, they should be sellers. I think it is unlikely that those 3 stay in San Diego (unless the Padres are contenders, which is looking less likely day by day). The Padres need a DH, a 1B(cronenworth’s production for the position has been terrible), and additional depth in their bullpen.
